We believe that God exists eternally in the past, present and future in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit; same in substance equal in power and glory. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 Peter 1:2)
We believe that the eternal Son of God, who is Christ, became fully human and yet he retained His God-nature to become Jesus the redeemer of God’s elect. That He now exists as one person with two natures forever. We believe that Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom shall have no end.
We acknowledge the Bible, which includes all sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, to be the infallible and inerrant Word of God, sufficient for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We teach that although we are redeemed by the finished work of Christ and that received by faith alone; a living faith will evidence itself in acts of repentance toward God. (Acts 20:21)
We hold that the chief and highest end of man is worship, and in worship we find our greatest joy. (Psalm 86, Romans 11:36, Revelation 4:11)
The triune God is central in our worship and not innovative worship practices nor entertainment for the sensual pleasures of man. (Colossians 2:23)
We believe that the Bible teaches that God created the heavens and the earth in six days and all very good. (Genesis 1) We boldly hold that the Word of God interprets scientific observations and those observations do not reinterpret the Bible. The Word of God is the final authority on all issues it speaks to including origins.
We believe that the Bible teaches that fathers and mothers are primarily responsible for the training of their children in the Lord; homeschooling is ideal for such a task, although not the exclusive way of discipling children. Because the beginning of knowledge is the fear of the Lord, parents are urged to teach their children as guided by Biblical principles and purposes. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Proverbs 1:7)
We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord. (Psalm 127:3)
We cling to the covenant promises that our children belong to the body of Christ, His church and are made holy. (Acts 2:39)
We encourage families to worship together. Scripture does not address youth to be normatively segregated from the worship or that age segregated groups were an approved practice. We do see that folly is bound up in the heart of a child (Proverbs 22:15) and that a company of fools causes harm (Proverbs 13:20) so we encourage households to worship together.
We believe that the gender roles taught in the Bible bring the greatest blessing and are still applicable and normative. The modern confusion of gender roles has been a source of much evil and suffering. Feminism and passive masculinity have been instrumental in leading many away from life-giving Biblical instruction.
We accept the Westminster Confession of Faith as one of the finest summaries of Christan doctrine with fidelity to the Scriptures. These truths must be spoken in love to be God’s presentation of truth, for if one understands all mysteries and all knowledge, but has not love, he is nothing. (1 Corinthians 13)
We teach the five Solas of the Reformation and the doctrines of grace summarized by the acrostic TULIP.
We teach an optimistic eschatology and look forward to the return of Christ our King.
